step back

"Rush, rush, rush!" The world chants, drawing you in. Hurry and get things done, waste no time, get it all done so you don't have to worry about it anymore, get it done so you will be successful and feel as if you have  accomplished something. Rush, rush, rush!

I've been feeling like this lately. The garden is growing up, chores are always waiting to be done, my freshman year coming to an end. Not to mention photography shoots (photographed my first event this week!) and babysitting.

In the midst of it all, I need to learn to look around me, to realize that there are precious lives I have the chance to invest in. I'm rushing to get things done so I can spend time with my family, so I can have a few months of a good break, but during the rush time I still need to be able to step back, and just breathe.

"Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand."
proverbs 19:21

ps: speaking of getting things done, I am like almost done with school. (just a little bit of math left) eeeek!!

    1. Heidi: do you get to stop as soon as you have 180 days or 2/3 if your textbook done? That's when we get to stop and we're on day 163...

    2. Poor thing...do ten lessons a day..it helps. ha, that's what I did. I read like one history book everyday and then did ten lessons of math everyday. Believe me, I was up late and up early. =P but it's totally worth it.

    3. Haha! I have a lot left as well...on lesson 94 of 129 (not including tests *faints*), module 2 of 16 (trust me, I had to do two science books this year, so I'm not horribly behind on science...), chapter 11 of 17, and lesson 18 of 28 in vocab :)

I'm excited about school though, because I'm trying to graduate next year...YAY!!!
