Max

Max is filled with life and energy. He's a lot like me, to be honest. We both look alike and we enjoy the same things. Max is normally running around doing something like jumping on the couch, trying to wrestle me, or running around throwing tomato stakes like they're spears.

My little brother is a helper. He tries to do what's right, but sometimes it's just hard. We both like to read (bring on the Percy Jackson!) and we are both imaginative.

Max loves any kind of sport and won't sit still for long. We have so many inside jokes and laugh at the most dumb stuff. All he has to do is bump into me and say he's sorry, then I cry, "Is that all?!" and we both double over laughing. It's quite silly really, but it's also a lot of fun.

I'm so thankful for my little brother (even if he is kinda annoying sometimes...sorry Max, haha) and I really couldn't imagine my life without him.

coming home

Our friends the Marcums adopted another child this month. They've adopted 9 children now and have 11 altogether. Five of the children they've adopted were adopted from Ethiopia all at once, and the older boy decided he wanted to stay in Ethiopia, but he changed his mind this year and wanted to be with his siblings. The Marcums are a really awesome family, and I'm so glad they're our friends!

Do have anymore "adoption" stories to tell, besides the ones in this post?

ps: not going to be posting for a bit.

rants and rambles (part two)

 (my grandparents' house)

I have so many pictures on my computer I seriously don't know what to do with them all. (this is the reason I have been packing each post with about 100 pictures) I really do like my camera, and no, I don't normally call the camera "Cameron", like I was going to. Yes, it's sad -- maybe I just don't do too great with naming things.

To catch up with my last post like this, I don't know if I'm going to Uganda, still praying about it. If I did go, I'd be like the youngest in the group. That's not a problem for me, but we just need more details.

This week has been pretty busy, I've been trying to read this series in four days, today is my last day to finish it and I still have over 200 pages left. The book is very interesting and filled with bad words. (Yes, it is written by C.S. Lewis.) Okay, I take that back, it isn't filled with bad words, but let's just say it's not short on them...

Our close friends the Marcums have adopted another boy, more on that is coming soon! You don't know how amazing it is going to the airport and watching a family bring home a child from another country.

On Saturday we ran a 5k, and I beat my time by over two minutes, which was really exciting. My time was 23:09, and I got first place in my age group. This coming Saturday we're running another race, and this time the prize is 50 dollars for first in the women's, so I'm hoping I'll run well. I've only won first overall in women's once, and that was in a smaller race. So I'm really excited, but also a tad bit nervous. Also, I've found that short shorts aren't so bad while running. I run way faster with them on. They're just extremely...short.

Next week I'll be gone at my grandparents. They live in a little valley surrounded by mountains out in the middle of nowhere. They don't have internet at their house, so I won't be posting, but I might have a couple of friends post here. :) Email me with you blog link if you'd like to guest post.

That's really all I can think of now. I've thinking about making another video sometime in May, but I'm so overwhelmed with all the stuff I have to do that I think it can wait.

Thanks for reading, and have a wonderful Wednesday!
