eeekkk!

Guess who came in the mail today? My lovely Cameron. ♥ I've saved for months to buy her.

Okay, start over. I've been wanting to become more of a professional photographer, besides just taking pictures with a point and shoot. I'm thinking about even asking families I know if they want me to take family pictures of their kids. So, I bought a EOS Canon Rebel 2Ti. And I named her Cameron.

And I'm excited. Ecstaticly excited. I'm not too great at taking pictures yet, since Cameron is a little bit confusing to figure out, but I'm working on her.

Without further ado, here are the pictures I've taken over the past hour(actually I had more. I won't force you to look at them all):

my sister Anna thinks Petra looks like Opal in Winn Dixie...ever seen that movie?

Nehemiah when he realized he couldn't have a snack.

this is what ran out of my laptop when I opened it. and  this is what I gave my mom as a present when she came home.

Which picture was your favorite? Do you have a camera? Do you like to name cameras?

Also, I need some major help here. I'm trying to decide if Cameron should be a boy or a girl . . I'm thinking a girl, but still not sure. Comment with your vote! ;)

  7. I've got a Canon Rebel, too. (I think it's an older version than yours, but it rocks) I love the first picture of the tree leaves, and the ones of the um, chickens. :-P And I don't even like chickens, but I like the focus/coloring.

I also want to try and expand and start doing portrait sessions and such, but I'm not sure yet. I did just get asked to photograph an event that my town is having, so I'm really excited! :D

Have fun with your new camera! I know you will! :) And post lots of pictures. :)

  14. Way to cool! I gave up saving for a camera long ago - so now I just bug my brother to let me use his. ;) But yes, it's definitely different than using a digital camera!

And the spider - lol - how did it possibly get in your laptop? Weird...you need a cat in the house. ;D

Oh, and those kinds of cameras always remind me of boys...if you want my humble opinion. ;D

    1. I keep my laptop on a lower shelf...and we've been having strange bugs in the house for some reason. Oh, and it couldn't have been a brother who put the spider in there, I'm more likely to pick up a spider than they would. =P

Cameron is officially a girl...sorry. ;) I can't please everybody! But thank you for your valuable humble opinion!

  15. Just because you have a DSLR doesn't make you a professional photographer
