Yesterday I got to spend several hours with some good friends, and I seriously hadn't had such a fantastic day for a long time. I think I need to spend more time with people my age. And I know that sounds cheesy, but as a home schooler, I tend to become shut up in my own little house. I have seven younger siblings though, which helps.

Anyway, Esther and Bonnie are such wonderful people. Esther was adopted from Ethiopia a year or so ago, and she's already picked up so much English. She's really sweet, crazy (in a good way), honest, and loves to laugh. Bonnie is a little bit more practical, she likes to read (you are my instant best friend if you like to read), she's pretty smart and a loyal friend. She's also very responsible.

In the past few days I've just been feeling really, extremely blessed. I'm realizing how much stuff I have. A laptop, a mp3 player (even if it breaks half the time), awesome friends, money, a loving family, a farm to live on, a healthy body, clean water . . . there's just so much. And I need to learn not to take it for granted.

What are you thankful for?

  1. I'm blessed with Godly parents who care about me, my family, awesome friends, a nice big house, a good church, etc, etc, etc.

  2. That first paragraph. My jaw dropped. You;re a homeschooler with seven siblings, who needs to spend more time with people her age? Dude, we're twins. Actually, we must be instant best friends, because I love to read more than anyone I know.

I am thankful for... my friends. Not just the ones I know personally, but the ones I've met online. Just the other day I did a picture swap with a girl I met through blogging. It is just so cool to meet people from around the world without even having to travel.
That, and bathrooms. Where would we be without them?

  3. That last picture is literally one of the most beautiful pictures I've seen in the last seven days! And I've seen a boatload of pictures on blogs/pinterest. So pretty!! And the focus is gorgeous and the bokeh and okay. It's gorgeous.

I'm thankful for my six siblings (minus my two older brothers... just kidding :-P), my best friend(s), a home, my pillow (um, yeah), camera, money(whenever I'm not completely broke. LOL), Skittles, music, movies and so much more.

    loveeeeeeed this post!

  4. Everything. I gotta a bunch of awesome friends and...ohhh...so much.

  5. My opportunities. Just in the past year I've been able to act in a professional play, be in a horse show, witness to several friends, help pay for six wells in India, and all sorts of other things that led to great God-glorying moments. And of course, I couldn't have gotten there without my family and friends.

    Plus JESUS!! :)
