birthdays galore

I've always loved ice cream and never been a big fan of birthday cake, so I had the biggest bowl of ice cream for my birthday. It was almost melted because of the candles, but that's okay. Guess what? I got away with putting an extra candle on the cake ice cream. Nobody noticed until I had already blown them out. That means I'm sixteen now, not fifteen, right?

Anna was normal and made herself a delicious carrot cake with cream cheese icing. I told her that in this picture (above) she looked like somebody just gave her an engagement ring. She got really mad.

ps // this is why I'm praying about getting a new camera.

bad quality pictures are not my favorite.

Do you have a favorite meal you like to eat on your birthday? I had ravioli and salad. yum.

  4. Birthdays are amazing...so far, January and February are our "birthday breaks". But once April comes in...it's cake every week. ;)

Your photos are beautiful - because it captures life in a split second. ;)

I thought those were taco shells in the first one, with your birthday ice cream. and I was going to tell you that it was amazingly cool that you ate tacos and ice cream for your birthday dinner. but ravioli is one of my favorites, too :)

  14. Happy birthday! I usually compromise with an ice cream cake. =) Usually on my birthday my mom will make strawberry short cake for breakfast, and we also go strawberry picking sometime around there. I'm the strawberry person in my family, apparently.
