the Kentucky state fair

Last week we went to the state fair. It was extremely fun. My personal favorite part was the Civil War exhibit and the concert, of course. I'll post about the concert next, since that needs a post of it's own.

There were some ducklings that were pretty funny to watch. I just wanted to grab one and hold it. I didn't do that though, of course.

And then we found the 4-H poster-board things . . .

Which one do you think is the funniest?

There were lots of animals, like any other fair.

And yes, they had a Civil War exhibit. Boy, was I excited until I realized it was tiny. But still. I got to read some cool stuff.

Look how clear this honey is. No wonder it won first place.

Also there were lots of flowers, fruits, and veggies.

Wow, lots of tomatoes, eh?

There were some pretty huge pumpkins...

and lots of corn too.

Cousin Ruby trying to open the glass case with her honey stick. O__o Not sure that's gonna work, Rubs.

Do you go to the State Fair every year? What is your favorite part?
