Yeah, we're pretty strange. That's okay with us though.

We love playing baseball. Especially with pink bats. 

We can be pretty silly sometimes. That's how siblings are, I guess. =P

just for fun

I haven't been doing many 'tags' lately, or quizzes, so I've decided to link up to one I found that looked like fun.

The 'blog party' is actually called 'here comes the sun' -- and if you're like me & can't wait for summer, you can see why I thought this might be fun. 

What would your dream summer vacation be?
Let's see. Sudan, perhaps. I know, that's crazy, it's even hotter there -- but I used to live there, so it would be nice to go back. Even in the summer. If not Sudan, Georgia. Can't you see I like hot places? 

After a rainstorm, what you think of when you see the sun peeking out from the clouds?

I'd probably get happy because that means we can go outside. Plus there might even be a rainbow when the sun peeks out, ant that's always lovely. 

If you were stranded on a desert island with the sun streaming down on you and had ONE palm tree for shade, you can only have three things with you; what would they be?

A water gun, a tent, and granola bars.

I don't have family in California, but I'd probably buy a snack there first. 

Manicure, pedicure, or facial?

Uh, sorry again people -- I have no idea what a manicure or a pedicure or a facial is...car parts? I'm horrible at automobiles. And that kinda stuff. 

What's your favorite color combination?

Golden yellow & light blue. Like my blog design. 

If you were at the beach and you wanted to write a message in the sand, what would you write?

Jesus loves you. 

You're stuck in Paris with $10,000. What do you do?

Eeek! I'd look at the sites perhaps, spend a little money, take tons of pictures, then head home and safe the extra money. I'd have loads left for trips to Sudan & Georgia.

What's your most favorite type of summer weather?  

Smultin' hot weather. [if smultin is even a word...] 

Blowing bubbles while taking a bubble bath?

No thanks. I don't take baths. I take showers and I time myself to see how fast I can go. Yesterday it was two minutes, today it was three.

Uhmm..dictionaries. I know. I'm crazy.

it's the little things

We found two tiny turtles in the creek this week. 

I know, he looks ugly.

But he's really kinda...cute.

Even Max kissed him.

And the thing is, he really is tiny. That's a penny, by the way.

I apologize for not posting much this week. I'm trying to finish three of my subjects so I won't have to do them over summer. Plus with moving soon, and seeing friends -- life has been busy.

If you're a Christian, you will probably say that Jesus is your best friend or something of the sort. We can talk to Jesus whenever we want, through prayer. What is prayer to you? Is it a way to get answers to your problems, or an ongoing relationship with your closest friend?


We can tell Jesus anything we want, anytime. He's our friend, our brother. We tend to think of ourselves as "only sinners saved by grace". True, we are sinners saved by grace, but we're not only sinners saved by grace! We are spiritual rulers. We have the gift of prayer that God has given us, and prayer is powerful. Satan is trying to pull us down, trying to make us think lower of ourselves, that we can't do anything since we are merely sinners.


We must remember to lift God up when we pray. He is the Everlasting Father, the Mighty God, the Savior, the Healer, Jahweh, and the Creator. I could go on and on with the list of names.


Do you pray? No, I'm not talking about those little one minute prayers before meals -- I'm talking about the time where you sit down and talk to your best friend for ten minutes. I'm not saying you have to spend ten minutes praying everyday. You should want to do that, if the Holy Spirit is working in you.


When you pray, do you exalt God's holy name, praise Him, and tell Him how good He is? Do you thank Him for all He has done? When you ask for something, do you really believe that God will answer, or do you just rush through and say "Dear God, please help my grandma to feel better. Sorry I didn't tell You about that before. Amen."?

And finally, do you enjoy time with your Lord?

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things. Philippians 4:8

On a more cheerful note, siblings are awesome. And now everyone but Samuel, Nehemiah (baby in above picture) and I are left to tend to ourselves. Since dad is going into the hospital for another surgery. That'll give you something to pray about. *winks*

Okay, so I was asked to *ahem* post some of my favorite dresses, and people have been wondering what my "clothing style" is. I tried to get my good friend Hannah to pick out some pictures of dresses for me that looked nice, but it didn't work. I think she just wanted to see me suffer trying to find pictures of nice dresses online. {By the way, that was a joke.}  Just not too low or too pink or too frilly, I told her.

I hope you all can see that I'm no fashion blogger, but I shall persevere and post pictures of dresses & stuff that I like.

That one is nice and long. It's kinda too long, but it looks comfortable. 

That one is my style too, if it were a bit longer and maybe the sleeves weren't sleeveless. 

Okay. That's all. As you can see, I'm not a fashiony person. I do like wearing dresses, but I don't care too much how they look....if you get the point. I don't spend hours picking out something to wear, I just throw something on for the day. I don't have a ton of clothes. 

I also like that one. *barfs* Sorry guys, I'm just not a pink frilly person. This post was really lame, excuse me. I have a much better one about prayer coming up.

lie:: sometimes people leave the worst comments on your blog {Thank you sooo much for yours, Megan & Lucia, and everybody else too, of course. But thanks to Megan & Lucia for stepping out and telling me what was boring about this blog.} 
lie:: people don't care about me
lie:: i love pink flowers {though in this instance, I'll have to say I do like pink flowers. Most of the time no pink for me though.} 

lie:: winning 2nd place {my age group} in a 5k race with over 300 people in it is not awesome 

lie:: I did hardly any math today

lie:: math was really easy, especially since I only did four lessons

lie:: it was awfully sunny today

lie:: this is a really interesting post & it's not so randomly at all 

lie:: I am not excited at all to be moving to a farm & being able to help out with a horse ranch 

lie:: I got up really early this morning & the race was horrible {it was amazing. we got a free dessert meal because of a baking contest. Sugar = yummness; especially after running a 5k} 

lie:: I really do not want to go write on my book & add a battle to the mix 

lie:: I do not want to go to Narnia right now 

lie:: I'm tired of the truth

truth:: I want Jesus Christ to be known to all nations. Even if that means passing out gospel literature at McDonald's. Why are we so afraid to stand out?
