a week to remember

three pictures that make me laugh:

What a way to entertain yourself, Nehemiah. If you weren't so cute I don't think it would be as funny.

*coughs* I know, I'm so mean. (I laugh kind of mean when I see this picture too.) But I couldn't resist taking a picture of her sleeping.

One picture that makes me sad:

At least Dad is home and okay now. Praise God!

(Anna, Heidi, and Dad)
three pictures that are show God's amazing creation:

What makes you smile?

He has risen

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:

Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?

But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:

And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.

Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.

For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:

And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.

If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the first-fruits of them that slept.

So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Jesus has risen! I copied this from what we read in church. It's taken from 1st Corinthians 15; King James version. Which is why it's a bit hard to understand; but if you read it over and think about it, it should make sense.

Oh, and here's the Easter Article I did for an online magazine, Forever

It’s that time of year again. When you walk into Wal-mart, and they have chocolate bunnies and candied eggs on sale. When you look at your neighbor’s yard, and there are cute bunny rabbits and baskets outside. When children are excited about Easter egg hunting. Somehow whenever there is a Christian holiday non-Christians try to take the Christian parts out. Sometimes they don’t mean to, but it happens.

Think about it for a moment. Do you see crosses or Resurrection tombs in people’s yard around Easter? Probably not.

But you know, Easter isn’t about candy and bunnies. Sure, it’s great to have fun-- but try not to get caught up in the world’s ways.

Remind yourself during Easter week that it’s not about you, but about Christ. He died for us, took our punishment, and then rose again. Thank God and praise Him for what he has done for us.

Sorry this post didn't have any pictures, but I've done lots lately. Happy Easter!

a walk with Petra

*the past few posts (including this one) are scheduled posts; I am at my grandparents'*

Last week Petra & I went for a hike. We've gone on lots; actually. Since we knew she was going to my dad's parents house and I was going to my mom's parents house. So we had to soak in every bit of time together. *grins*

We hiked through the meadow for awhile, then went down to the wooded area and found a creek.

Charlene loved it.

Petra found some "flowers" and decided to give them to Grammy. She wanted lots of pictures of herself. Yeah, she's vain sometimes. You should see her when she looks at herself in the mirror...

There's the creek. Sadly my camera doesn't focus enough on close ups on water, so I couldn't get any real good pictures.

Then we went to the barn for awhile...

Then we walked home..

Petra likes walking in mud. So do I, especially if you're barefoot.

let's go fly a kite

Let's go fly a kite

Up to the highest hight

Let's go fly a kite

 And send it soaring...

Up through the atmosphere

Up where the air is clear

Oh, let's go fly a kite!
When you send it flying up there, all at once you're lighter than air
You can dance in the breeze, over houses and trees

With your fist holdin' tight, to the string of a kite!

I love that song, in Marry Poppins. ;) Our grandparents are still watching us and the other day we went kite flying.

Our Grandparent's dog. Grammy says her life will begin with she dies; the dog gets on her nerves so much. (The dogs' name is Charlene...don't ask who named her. *cough* Okay, okay, I did name her. I was like five though.)

There's my little buddy. She's gone at our other grandparent's now though. WAAAHH.

Grass smells good. Mmmhhmm...

Can you read the sign? We love climbing on it. Too bad nobody hunts here anymore.

I miss...

I miss my girl. Yes, she's mine. Not Mom's or Dad's or Blake's.

She's my sleeping beauty and my buddy.

Who will I go with on hikes and carry on my back for two miles? Who will wear me out running races? Who will blow dandelions and make wishes with me?

Petra Summer Kiser! You have to come home from Grand-Pat's soon. Plu-ease.

I even added some pink in there for ya, Pech. Someday when you're older you're going to read this, right?

The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is now out on DVD. I can't wait to get it. (We might just rent it though) And just because a new Narnia movie is out, I have to put some pictures of Narnia on here. *grin*

And just because there aren't that many pictures from the Dawn Treader yet, I shall post some from Prince Caspian and The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe...

"I wonder who lived here?" "I think we did..."

Oh, and this is Hannah's favorite picture. HAHA. (I'm such a great evil friend.)

Peter needs to go to the barber shop.

Wow. He really looks greedy there....

"Aslan is on the move." "Who's Aslan?" "Huh? Why, he's only the King of the whole wood!"

Peter looks like he's gonna cry.

They need better pictures of Aslan. Anyway, that's enough pictures for now. I'm sure your computer exploded because of all the pictures. Sorry about that.

In Christ,
