We're here!

Yep, I'm tying this from my laptop in Kentucky . . . when I look out my bedroom window I see snow. Yes, snow! *calms down* sorry about that.  Well I'm posting this because I have tons of people asking me how I'm doing. Here are some FAQ:

How are you doing, is everybody settled in?

For the most part, yes we are settled in. We un-packed everything this week -- 18 boxes for your information.  We were over the limit of weight at the airport [hey, school books for a home schooling family of ten take a lot of room up] but the men at the airport were very nice and didn't make us dump our stuff out and leave a ton of books. [We had to do that in Jordan] Other than losing my carry on bag of clothes [which thank the Lord we got them back a day or so ago] and a bike we're here. Mom and Nehemiah, the baby, traveled separately since it was cheaper. Plane tickets cost a lot of money, for your information. Everybody, give a big hand to all the people who have donated money for us! We try and pray for one family every morning.

We're "doing" pretty well. The other night Dad and Mom went out for a "date". Henry had a fever this morning, nothing too exciting. He's doing better though. We're going to house church this afternoon.

Are you feeling better?

Lots  of people ask this question. Yes, I am feeling better. Most of you know I have constipation [look it up if you want], and I've been using the restroom a bit more regularly. Not every week at least. Prunes help a lot. *changes subject* Yes, I am feeling better. Which is EVER so nice. Four months in bed is most not exciting. At all. But -- I'm getting better. Praise God!!!

Did you get my letter in the mail, or can I send you a letter?

I got Erin's letter . . . Hannah Ours yours forwarded to my grandparent's house I think so when they come over they will probably get it. If you want to send me a letter, sure, I need to 'know' you first. And Mom announced this morning that I have to pay the 50 cents or whatever for to mail a letter. Try to email me, that would be better. *winks*

You have [over] 100 followers now! Are you going to have a giveaway or something?

First off, thanks to all my followers! 100 is a big number . . . and I have a few people that wanted to offer prizes so yes, I will have a giveaway. I'll try and set it up soon in the next few days. For you all, I'll try and have a giveaway. ;)

I have a few more minutes before I have to leave. Has anyone seen the Voyage of the Dawn Treader? If so, how would you rate it? I hope they didn't change it up too much from the book.

Also, Grace is having a lovely giveaway! Make sure to stop by:

Anyways, I have to finish up a few things!

  1. Hello, Kendra! Glad to hear you are back, safe, and feeling better!:)
Voyage of the Dawn Treader was AWESOME {though some may disagree with me}, and it is very interesting to see how many people like/dislike and think that the others were better than this. So you'll be in for a lot of different comments!:)

I really liked it; they did a VERY good job with it, though maybe not completely accurate to the book. In my opinion, much better than Prince Caspian!:)

    Many Blessings,
    Grace

    Have a great day!

P.S - About the Dawn Treader - I thought it was a enjoyable movie and that they did a good job. But the book is my favorite book (not just in the series, but my favorite book ever!) and I was disappointed with some things about the movie.

  6. Hey Kendra,

What an awesome post. I'm glad your family is alright now, and that you're feeling better.

VDT is EPIC! You must see it. It is not too changed up from the book, which is great.

Blessings, and congrats on over 100 followers! (guess what I have 61 followers now!:D)

The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is the best! You should go see it as soon as possible. (and I don't think they changed it too much.)

    Get better soon!
