Thanksgiving

I know, it's a little late to be posting about Thanksgiving, but I didn't have the pictures uploaded on the computer yet yesterday.

We went over to E-mad and Michelle's house, they are the ones that own our home. Mr. E-mad speaks English, but he's Egyptian.  And Mrs. Michelle is from America. They have three children in their twenties, and for Thanksgiving they had some of their friends come over. Anyways, the ladies cooked up some great food, and we had a good time giving thanks to God for all the wonderful things He's given us. :) Here are a few ton of pictures.

Anna got Nehemiah all slicked up.  He looks way older here.

I got some pictures while we drove . . .

You can see the lake in this one!

There are no cars on the road! Well it's not that busy, but there aren't speed limits in Egypt.  Some people go really fast . . . like 100 MPH.

Mrs. Michelle (her last name is really hard, so we call her by her first name) had a lovely garden, and they had green grass! Yeah, not a big deal to you probably, but in Egypt?!

God's handiwork is amazing!

There were tons of flowers and plants in their garden. . . .

I've never seen anything like this plant.

I haven't seen anything like this one either.  But it shows God's marvelous creation!

I think this might be my favorite picture I took, I like how it's blurry in the background but focused on the flower.

Another queer looking flower.

I think this is the funniest plant of all! I wish I knew what it was called.

Then I went over with the boys, who were playing ping-pong. Max is laughing about something probably not worth laughing about.

It was nice of him to pose for me when I asked him to.

Haha! I can't help but laugh at this one! I put it on my desktop, and when I close the internet it makes me jump!

Max has interesting eyes . . . (in a good way, of course)

Nehemiah sticking his tiny finger in the camera lens. I tell him not to do that, but he doesn't get it.

He finally backed off. *whew*

He is awfully cute.

Heidi and the dog, Jenny.

One smiley young lady!

Henry likes for me to take pictures of him, then he begs; "Can I see it? Please?  I wanna see it Kendra!"

Jenny the dog. It's too bad we don't have a dog. But I suppose eight children is enough for my parents.

I got on the ground for this one.  I know, I'm weird.

God is so gracious to allow us to leave in the peaceful 'part' of Egypt, and by the beach too!

I like the light coming threw the door on this one. Okay, you guys are probably getting bored of all this pictures. So, ONE more, okay?

Then we ate some yummy food, and helped clean up. (Well I felt bad so I slept) Sorry I didn't get any pictures of the food.

Then we watched a movie, prayed, and went home.
We had a good time! How was your Thanksgiving?

PS: Some people have been wondering if I've been feeling better. I have to say no. The medicine killed some of the worms, but not all and the pain is coming back. Dad just left for a trip this morning, and won't be back for ten days, so we probably won't be able to go to the doctor. Prayers would be appreciated!

  3. Hey Kendra!

Wow - my sister would have a nightmare driving there. :)

Anyways - to answer your questions that you left on my blog...

    Changing fonts is super easy.

    (1) Go to Edit HTML

    (2) Right at the top they have that whole Variable list.

(3)To change your post and sidebar body fonts scroll down to <Variable name="bodyfont" description="Text Font" type="font"default="normal normal 100% georgia, serif"

    (4) Change Georgia to whatever font you want (Like Century Gothic)

It is rather hard to mess up changing fonts - if you want your whole blog with one font (such as Century Gothic) just switch the first font in each code bubble. Make sure that after every "normal normal" the first font is changed to the font you want.

If this isn't making any sense - please tell me!

For getting rid of ugly blue lines under links (and blue color anyways!)

    (1) Go back to Edit HTML and find <Variable name="should say link color"

    (2) Change your link color to whatever you want...example.

    #000000 = black

    #cccccc = light gray

    #ffc619 = yellow

    (3) Luckily there is an extremely easier way to do all of that - and I'll tell you.

By the Edit HTML should be a "template designer" Click on that
and go to advanced (you can use the template designer for Minnema templates - DON'T CHANGE THE TEMPLATE ON THE TEMPLATE DESIGNER!! JUST GO DOWN TO ADVANCED!)

And then you'll have little options (page background color, link color, etc) It is much easier!

To get rid of the lines under links...

    (1) Go to Body { and scroll down to a: link {

    It should look like this:

    color:$the link color
text-decoration: underline - or something else.

Change that to none click save and your done!

If you have troubles or questions - I will try to explain again!

    *hugs*

  9. Hi, Kendra! I'm Charli Rae, and I recently started following your blog. I love the pictures that you take! Do you sell them? The funky green plant with orange stalks growing off of it, growing smaller as they near the end, is called Bird of Paradise. I've got tons of 'em in my front yard.

Anyway, I wanted to let you know that I'm praying for you, your family, and your stomach condition. You're an amazing girl, Kendra!
