One Year...

Wow. I can't believe I've already been blogging for a year. I've come a long ways since this first post, haven't I?

Today I just made a blog!!! I am happy!!!
This blog is NOT a blog were I say,"today I went to the dentist and ate jello"
No, when I post it will be a new story,a contest,or important news.
And my motto is,"JOY,Put Jesus first,Others second,and Yourself last"

(I guess it hasn't been a year yet, but you get the point!) This is going to be my 'bestest' post, okay?

Well, everybody has gone to the  beach again. Oh, and our friends from Sudan, the Brotens are here. It's great having Americans to talk to. :D

Okay, well you all are probably wondering how I'm feeling. I went to the doctor and had my blood tested about a week ago. Mom thinks I have a pesterite (not sure what it's called, I forgot), but anyways it's some kind of bug that you get from the water, and it makes you have sharp stomach pains. I'm feeling stronger, but the pains aren't going away, even though I've started taking medicine which is supposed to help. Could you guys just please pray for me?

I thought I'd post some pictures, since Mom's camera is working and I felt good enough to.

It was really windy when I took this picture!

Say cheese, Henry!
This is the house where the Brotens are staying, the guest house. The black door is where Samuel and Henry sleep.

This is where my parents and Max and Nehemiah sleep. There's a living room and a laundry room in this house also.

Max goofing off with Evangeline, because it's so windy his shirt is blowing up.

Don't these flowers look lovely?

Anna and Petra sleep in the room with the first window on the left. Heidi and I sleep in the room with the door on the right. There is a kitchen and dining room in this house too.

Max playing ball.

Baby Nehemiah is walking!

Action picture! :D (yeah, the house where I sleep looks huge, but really it's an old barn on the end!)

Samuel trying to kick the ball...lol

Evangeline trying to smile with the sun in her eyes. :D

That's all the pictures, and since this is my 'bestest' post, I'm adding a survey, please take a minute and answer the questions!

I was wondering...the Seven Sisters do a 'Cute Quotes' every week, and should I start my own? Here are a few practice  sample ones;

*Cute Quotes *

“I’m a missionary who got attacked by eighty dogs and I’m still alive.” Anna, age 10

*      *     *     *    *     *     *     *      *     *      *      *     *     *     *      *      *      *     *    *    *

Mom: “I’m sorry guys, this is gross, but when you use to restroom you must scoot back a bit and not hit the side. We must be clean and not dirty, understand?”

Samuel (12): “Yes Ma’am. Make it plop, right?”

All the kids (and Mom) burst into laugher, and Dad tries to hide his smile.
*      *     *     *    *     *     *     *      *     *      *      *     *     *     *      *      *      *     *    *    *

Henry, age 3, sings: “Zacceus was a wee little man and a wee little man was he; he climbed up in the…macaroni…tree for the Lord he wanted to see…”

*      *     *     *    *     *     *     *      *     *      *      *     *     *     *      *      *      *     *    *    *

Heidi, age 6, was trying to take something from Petra, age 4.  Petra started whining loudly so Mom could see what Heidi was doing, and Heidi said;
“Okay, okay, I’m sorry!” (With glances at Mom)

Petra looked at her and said, “You’re not really sorry, you’re just saying that!”

*      *     *     *    *     *     *     *      *     *      *      *     *     *     *      *      *      *     *    *    *

I often hide the ball while playing a game with Nehemiah (age 16 months), and I hide it under my shirt. Now whenever he’s looking for his ball, whatever I’m doing, he looks under my shirt.
*      *     *     *    *     *     *     *      *     *      *      *     *     *     *      *      *      *     *    *    *
Anna (when she was four): “Kendra, if I eat another bowl of cereal will I be fat?”

Me (7): “Oh, Anna, it’s too late, you’re already fat.”

*      *     *     *    *     *     *     *      *     *      *      *     *     *     *      *      *      *     *    *    *

I hoped you laughed at least once! :D

  2. Kendra, I love your blog! Thanks for posting the pictures of your new home in Egypt. Also, I love the "cute quotes." They made me laugh!

  3. This really made my day Kendra! I so enjoyed reading this, it made me laugh. I love reading your blog and seeing all about your missionary life. I'd like to be a missionary some day but for now will be one in my own community. It's so encouraging reading your blog and seeing your pictures.
